Basic Structure of YEX II 2012...

Island Experience

Just as Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tested and tried students will be led to their own wilderness experience on Christian Retreat’s Missionary Island for five days of primitive camping. Through this time they will learn how to quiet themselves and hear the voice of God which is vital in or everyday walk with the Lord.

Sessions

Sessions are designed to be an interactive time of learning. Room is made for questions, discussion, and even debate as we critically think through and chew on the word of God.

Team building Activities

Words are important but life change happens on the battlefield which is why giving the students opportunities to problem solve, trust, and work together is so vital. Students will take part in activities that allow them to apply what they have learned, discover their weaknesses and strength, and come together as a team representing the body of Christ.

Team exercise

Students will not only be challenged spiritually, mentally, and emotionally but physically as well. One hour every morning is devoted to buffeting our body and making it our slave as we prepare for a 5 mile endurance run on the beach at the end of the program.

Journaling

This is a personal time for students to write about their experiences, feelings, thoughts, and principles they have learned in order to bring further light on the internal change that is taking place.

Local Outreach

Student will have the opportunity to show the love of Christ through hands on evangelism in Ybor City and serving at a ministry devoted to feeding, clothing, and meeting the spiritual needs of those who are in need a helping hand.
